Help me out fellow enthusiasts.
When you get that urge, that wave to throw words at a page, like a blood pattern analysis scene from Dexter, how do you choose which way to start.
I haven't written or expressed myself in this format for over 2 decades and I now have that urge. However, as I am older and supposedly “wiser”, I find myself not rushing any more to word vomit. I am simply processing it faster and trying to make it more impactful as I go.
So my dear script-o-nauts, (I'm coining that thanks), how do you map or process content that you want to share? Or to break it down before the proverbial “pen to paper”, what do you find inspirational?
Thanks,
Cal

Quite often I sleep on it. Get that initial idea down and then revisit it for a fresh, more objective perspective.
Purpose is important. What message are you trying to convey? Is it clear? Does it make sense?
Don't hesitate to 'murder your darlings'. Those clunky things that disrupt flow and confuse meaning.
If it's words/structure you're refining try editing from the last sentence and work backwards. That way you're actually reading every word rather than skimming the page.
Most importantly, have fun. :)
